Point Park, locally known as“Froggy Park," sits
on a triangular spot between Main and State streets
in Saint Joseph, MI. This charming little park, created
in 1950 by the Garden Club, provides beauty and whimsy
in what would usually be wasted space. It features
a fountain topped by two children holding an umbrella.
Water spurts from the umbrella top, flows over the
umbrella and lands in the upper pool. The lower catch
basin features four water-spitting frogs. The Garden
Club restored the fountain and added benches in 2001.
