Dr.
Klug feels privileged and proud to claim the local village of
Sodus as his boyhood home. He is a 1969 graduate of Benton Harbor
High School and a 1973 Kalamazoo College grad. After receiving
his doctorate from the University of Michigan school of Dentistry
in 1977, he opened his dental practice at its present location.
His wife, Rachel, uses her past work experience in Human Resources
to assist chairside and also help in the front business office.
Outside of the office Dr. Klug and Rachel enjoy attending the
many festivals and concerts in our own beautiful Southwestern
Michigan. They are also active members of Grace Lutheran Church
in St. Joseph.
If you think one of the friendly faces at the front desk looks like a Klug, you're right! Dr. Klug's daughter Fallon is a much appreciated member of the staff, helping out during her summer and holiday breaks. Fallon attends Hope College in Holland, Michigan.
Dr.
Klug and Rachel also have three other children between them. Zachary,
the oldest of the four, attends Kalamazoo College where he is
a member of their hockey team. During the summer break you will
find Zack at Silver Beach working as Head Ranger. Next in line
is Jake who attends Bethany Lutheran College in Mankato, Minnesota.
Jake is an accomplished organist and composer and plays regulary
for worship services and weddings. Jake is continuting his study
in the church music field at Bethany. Kaitlin, the only child
not in college, attends middle school at Grace Lutheran. Kaitlin
is an avid sports fan with an emphasis on soccer. She also plays
the clarinet and enjoys spending time on the computer.
Dr.
Klug is a member of American Straight Wire and Functional Orthodontics,
The American Dental Association, The Michigan Dental Association,
and the Lakeland Valley Dental Society. He maintains his accreditation
by attending numerous post graduate courses (most recently a Soft
Tissue Management and Implant Seminar) and Chicago and Grand Rapids
orthodontic study groups. His thirty-plus years of experience
have helped him blend his technological expertise with the artistry
needed to produce winning smiles.
Victoria
Sherwood works as a Dental Hygienist for Dr. Klug. She spent her
growing up years in Ownsboro, Kentucky and then moved on to Southeastern
Illionois College where she played on the women's basketball team.
Victoria began her career in the healthcare field at Lakeland,
working as a Pharmacy Tech and then as a Nursing Assistant for
an otolaryngology surgeon. Her love of the healthcare field led
her to her presesnt career in Dental Hygiene. Victoria has two
sons.
Sally
Dennison is a certified and registered Dental Assistant. Sally
began her career in dental assisting with Dr. Klug in 1977. Her
current part-time schedule allows her time to raise and homeschool
her six children. Sally and her husband Steve live in St. Joseph.
Bridget
Foster has worked as a Dental Assistant for Dr. Klug for the past
six plus years. Bridget grew up in Galien and currently lives
in Buchanan with her husband Joel. In her spare time she enjoys
spending time with her family and working in her garden.
Shari
Faultersack has worked for Dr. Klug a total of fifteen years.
During the first six years, Shari was a Dental Assistant. After
spending the next ten years traveling with her husband Jeff, they
returned to the Coloma area and she resumed working for Dr. Klug.
Shari currently manages the front desk and handles the insurance
billing. Shari and Jeff have a son and a daughter.
