Humane Society of Southwestern Michigan
OUR MISSION
Humane
Society of Southwestern Michigan exists to provide shelter and
care for sick, homeless, abused and unwanted animals. We also
provide adoption services for the animals in our care.
To help us obtain this goal, we have the following in place.
To
inform and educate the public about the responsibilities of
caring for a companion animal.
To work
with groups and individuals to bring about a better understanding
and appreciation for both animal and human life.
To promote
the many benefits and rewards of pet ownership.
To
promote and support humane education.
To
provide humane care to all animals that are antrusted to the
shelter's care.
To
administer and regulate policies that facilitate pet adoption.
To
promote spray/neuter assistance programs in our community in
an effort to reduce the number of unwanted animals in our community.
The
Humane Society of Southwestern Michigan is a 501-C3 Non-Profit
Organization does not receive any county, state or federal funding.
Nor do we receive any monies from any other animal organizations.
